Fragments of the Lost

Fragments of the Lost

Other events referred to in the Archive, date the contents to roughly two-millennia ago, which places this during the events of The Orovian/Zolainian War which defined that period and helped shape the world as it is today.

The archives of the local temples of Starryl for approximately three-hundred years surrounding this time are missing, having been either lost, expunged, or hidden. The Archivist-Priest of the Kelbridge temple has sent communique to the other human city temples in the area to see if a similar gap exists in their records, he has also sent a messenger to the Elven lands in the hope that their records are more complete.

One thing that the Archivists did manage to get from the archive was a map of the River estuary from the period, this described the what is probably the primary dis-tributary for the River ##### at the time, in addition it showed that the swamp covers over twice the area now than two-millennia ago.

What the map also showed is an island off the coast which no longer exists, positioned roughly between Ousel to the north and Ferrestom to the south, this missing land mass is our primary candidate for the location of the Tomb, should it turn out not to be in the Swamp. The map names the largest city as Talishmana, and the attached notes indicate the area as being called The Coast of Gold, the name of the city suggests it was probably Elven. We should enquire with the Sea Elves.

The Archivist-Priest has suggested that there may be involvement in these events by the Divinities of Fate, Luck, and Freewill; that they orchestrate events such as these as part of some kind of ‘contest’ between them.
